Our new JTRUK kit is designed to convert a 2018-Current Jeep Wrangler JLU into a single cab truck with a 6ft, divorced bed. We took styling cues from older Willy’s models for a classy and timeless design. Best of all, the entire process can be completed in less than a day with no frame, brake line, or fuel line modifications (excluding paint and body work)

Our core of the JTRUK will kit consists of:

  • Cab back extends from floor to the roof molded fiberglass part
  • cab sides and roof lines are matched to the contours of the factory hardtop and jeep doors
  • slider rear window and mounting gasket
  • speaker pod insert built into cab back – blanks for your own cutouts
  • 4 fiberglass trim cab corners (covers the rear cab corners and rear cab floor supports)
  • LED 3rd brake light and harness
  • Epoxy bonding kit for cab corner pieces
  • Body seam sealer for bonding floor and cab back
  • Mopar Freedom panel hardtop side gasket
  • 2 metal JTruk  retro badge emblems

From there you will be able to choose your choice of a fleet side style bed, a retro step side version or a custom designed flatbed.   The fleet side and step side versions of the bed will allow you to source your own 6 ft. Ford Ranger truck bed core and new exterior Jeep styled skins will be available.  A Jeep gladiator bed can also be used but must be modified with a significant amount of body work to fill the 10″ gap at the front of the bed.   NO BED or BEDsides are included in the cab kit.   

The JLU JTruk cab was designed to use your factory freedom panels or any equivalent aftermarket accessories such as the Bestop sunrider or the 1 piece Lexan roof pieces that work in place of the Mopar freedom panels.  The factory freedom panels are NOT included in the kit so you will need to purchase them if you Jeep is a soft top only style JLU or Gladiator.   GR8TOPS can sell you the factory freedom panels with your kit if you wish, just give us a call and we can package price the cab with the freedom panels.

Through the design and engineering process, we had 2 goals.   1.   Make this kit very easy and  2.  make it look very classic and retro.  This kit was designed to make it very simple for the average person to complete this conversion in their garage without major tools, a little bit of ambition, and no major body work.  Because the cab back and roof is bolt on fiberglass, there is no actual body work needed to the jeep to blend and do body work.   The fiberglass parts can be automotive painted prior to installing.   The exterior of the Cab back comes in black or grey gelcoat with a black textured finish on the interior.   Roof panel can be in finish grade white or black gelcoat.

No modification of the frame, driveline, fuel or brake lines is needed to complete the installation of this kit.  No modifications of the electrical systems, sensors, and/or wiring are needed to complete the installation of the kit.     Some wiring looms, connectors are relocated in different locations on the vehicle but none that affect the usability etc of the vehicle.

The interior of the cab kit is finished in black gelcoat textured unless requested otherwise.   The exterior of the cab and the cab corners come in black or grey gelcoat and require normal body/prep work and a high build primer before ready for automotive paint.  We recommend and have successfully done all paint and prep work of the cab back and corners prior to installation thereby not requiring any paint or body work to be done on the Jeep itself.

We strongly recommend adding the RockHard 4×4 Cage Kit and you will save $50 on the kit when package with the Jtruk Cab kit.

NOTE:  This cab kit has only be designed to work with JLU’s without the rear side impact curtain air bags on the rear seat.   If your jeep has these features, you may need to have additional deprogramming of rear air bag sensors.   All front seat and b pillar air bags are not affected.

When selecting this item in your shopping cart, you MUST select “truck freight” shipping for the correct shipping amount to be calculated. If this is not selected, your order will be revised and emailed back to you for correct total amount approval before charge and shipment is sent.

Orders may be picked up at our location but will incur the local 7% South Carolina Sales tax.

This item is oversized and shipped by one of our preferred LTL truck freight carriers. Business address delivery is preferred but not required. Residential Delivery available for additional $125 charge. Customers may also pickup at nearest local LTL Carrier that we use.

ONSITE INSTALLATION:

GR8TOPS performs full installations in our shop in Lexington, SC.  GR8TOPS can do a turnkey installation with various styles of flatbed and/or beds.   Costs and conversions vary depending on bed type and/or extent of the build process.   Please give us a call to discuss a complete turnkey installation for you.    Cab only installations with color matched paint, start at $11500 that include the cab kit parts.
